ABOUT US
Methodist Social Services presents the heart and face of Methodism on the front line in the Hamilton and Waikato community. While Methodism provides much of our funding, our services and programmes are open to everyone.
We have been operating for more than 30 years, working with people on the margins of our community; many are socially isolated and often ignored or invisible to the general population. For the Disability Sector, we provide a range of skill-based activities designed to challenge participants to learn and grow through their participation.
For the community we offer practical help in the form of a warm, nutritious meal and other food assistance, advocacy, information and referrals to health, housing and budgeting services.
We aim to empower communities through compassion.
Our Mission
To challenge social injustice, affirm the fullness of life and empower those who are vulnerable.
Our Values
Manaakitanga - showing respect, generosity and care for others
Arohatanga - showing affection, kindness and charity to others
Kotahitanga - showing collective unity and sharing of others
